The bwiseIP modus operandi (approach) is to tailor our services to your
needs. We understand that every business is different. It is about
having the flexibility to apply the appropriate services instead
of a predetermined package. We do this by identifying your needs
and the type of business you have.
We then correlate our IP Management products to your needs. This
allows bwiseIP staff to have a consistent approach for each client
type. Our aim is to integrate our people with your staff in order
to achieve a common goal for your IP.
The benefit of bringing bwiseIP into your business as IP consultants
is you have a ready made IP manager who will hit the ground running.
bwiseIP has
a variety of methods by which we interface with our clients.
We operate IP education workshops, produce internal and exteral
IP reports and we place IP specialists in our clients' organisations
to manage their IP.
bwiseIP also prepares strategic IP
plans or policy documents and assist in their implementation, chairs
internal IP committee meetings and presents IP status reports to
company boards as well as providing IP due diligence recommendations.
bwiseIP currently
provides a complete IP Management service to USSS (Universal Solar
and Surface Science) and is managing the IP portfolio for the wind-up
phase of the Australian Photonics CRC.
bwiseIP staff
have previously been placed as resident IP Managers and IP Administration
staff in a number of technology start up companies including: Redfern
Broadband Networks, Cactus Fiber, Redfern Polymer Optics and The
Bandwidth Foundry.
bwiseIP
staff have conducted workshops for CSIRO and assist CSIRO spin out
companies, such as Intellection, to identify, evaluate and protect
their IP as well as working closely with Business Development Offices
of Universities.
bwiseIP is
not a traditional Patent Firm in that we do not provide a legal,
patent drafting or filing service. The services we provide are aimed
directly at improving the business case and commercial viability
of our clients IP.
